The handy base pole clamp loosens and tightens, which allows you to rotate the umbrella 360 degrees, so you can easily move the shade wherever you need it. Four-section base is easily secured with square stepping stones that fit into the cross arm stand. Stand accommodates stones up to 20" W x 20" L x 1.5" H. Stones not included.
